Realms of Aranton is a passion project of mine that serves as a musical world-building project for the homebrew DnD campaigns my friends and I play. It also serves as a library of free fantasy music for people to use in their projects. Whether it be tabletop games, indie films/animations, indie videogames, lore videos, etc, I'd be honored to have you use my work to complement your own creations. My biggest inspirations for this are Jeremy Soule, Howard Shore, and Austin Wintory. Many of the tracks in this compilation draw inspiration from Celtic, Norse, and Orchestral music. I did not plan on having this compilation have a culturally homogenous feel. This album will take you through feudal kingdoms, elven forests, Celtic highlands, frozen tundras, ancient caves, cathedrals, as well as taverns and high halls. All these places exist in the same global setting of Aranton.
I blend live and midi instruments in order to maintain that large orchestral feel from midi libraries, while also having true human expression that bring the pieces to life. However, not all songs use live instruments. I plan on expanding my implementation of other unique musical cultures after more research. I Implement many recurring themes throughout the album. Let me know if and when you hear them. Themes/Motifs Aranton Main theme Karovingia Elven The Wanderer theme The Osterlands theme The wisdom motif (first heard in the bridge in "The Wanderer") The Arcane theme (First heard in "The Academy)
